How to use favicon in Googlepages.

Favicon is the favorite icon or custom icon for your website. Since many of us are using blogspot/wordpress right now, they dont have any other place to store the images and ico files.

If you are a blogspot user or Wordpress user, you can use Googlepages to store small images for your blog entries.

But in Googlepages if you store favicon.ico in the root folder of Googlepages and point that favicon to your blog, it wont work. Because Googlepages itself has the favicon associated with that ico.

Instead of trying like this,

<link href='http://xxxx.googlepages.com/favicon.ico' rel='icon' type='image/x-icon'/>
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://xxxx.googlepages.com/
favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">

rename favicon.ico to xxxx.ico and mention like below

<link href='http://xxxx.googlepages.com/myico.ico' rel='icon' type='image/x-icon'/>
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://xxxx.googlepages.com/
myico.ico" type="image/x-icon">

It will override the Googlepages favicon.ico and you will get the required favorite icon on your website.
